TL;DR Forecast (http://forecastslackbot.com) does not want to know who you are and tries to collect just enough data to enable our services.
During your use of Forecast, we do not require you to provide us with any personal data.
We collect the team's Slack ID, Team Name and preferred scientific unit (Metric or Imperial).
We do not require that you provide us with any personal data to enable functionality of Forecast.
We require you to communicate Forecast via slash commands and a callback URL. We do not monitor team channels. This allows us to communicate weather data directly with your workspace without the need of private access tokens. We do not monitor any activity in your Slack team
We collect and log a minimal amount of activity data related to interactions had with the Forecast bot. This includes but is not limited to, location requested, webpages accessed, IP addresses, browser types, and operating system.
You can delete your data indefinitely from Forecast by uninstalling the application from your workspace.
We retain only user data necessary for Forecast to perform its service while you have the app installed on your workspace. Data is stored indefinitely until user removes the app from their workspace. User data is permanently deleted immediately after deleting an account or workspace.
We shall not sell, transfer or lease out your personal data to third parties.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify this Privacy policy or any portion thereof. Any changes will be effective from the time of publication of the new Privacy policy.
